Reader Reviews

From the prologue, I knew I was going to love the story. I mean, seriously, Vlad the Impaler? Awesome. I loved how that was worked into the backstory (with present-day relevance).

I love character-driven books. There must be depth in the characterization, or I begin to tune out. I love the family chemistry early on, which is why I believed the motivations at end of the book. And then there’s Jenkins. One of my favorite characters I’ve read in a while. The mother-in-law is a close second.

But if you crave action, there’s plenty of that, too. Villains. Those too. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this universe. I cannot recommend this enough. I’ve bought all the books in the series and am greedily consuming them.

This book is a spin-off from Geanta’s first book, Project Z (which I loved). It took two minute characters we met in passing and expanded on their story.

Technically, the way Project Z ended, this whole book isn’t quite possible. In Project Z, when we met the large man with teeny daughter on their way to California to find a cure for the mother’s zombie-ism, I was obsessed, then very disappointed when the group from Project Z parted ways with Rey and Eve.

So, naturally, I devoured this book. I loved the depth of each character, even the stereotypical mother-in-law that we can all relate to having.

When everyone else was panic buying toilet paper and paper towels at the beginning of Covid, I was panic buying books. Then the snow came, and I did some more panic buying of books. That’s how I found this little gem. I love anything zombie related anyway, and this book quickly grabbed my attention and held it. “Zombie Evolution” is a new kind of take on the zombie apocalypse that I haven’t seen before, even in the movies. Great drama, wonderful characters that you really come to care for, action and gore, and some twists and turns that I haven’t seen done before in this genre. But, you’ll have to read it yourself to get those, I never post spoilers.

What a surprise I found on kindle. I loved this book as soon as i started reading this & I just couldn’t put it down , what a great author I just loved the way everything just seemed to just fall into place if you like reading about zombies pick this up I’m off to read the next one.

I am an avid zombie reader, mix in some vampires and I am in heaven. When I first started reading I was worried I would not make it past the first chapter, well I did and it was non stop. Loved the characters, loved the twists and was so upset to finish it, but I know have the rest of the series to enjoy.
